Training #570: Ask us Anything about Comparable Titles
We started rather abruptly in this ask us anything session, as our pre-webinar-chit-chat turned a bit of a talk about older books and what we can (and can't) learn from them, before looking up information about comparable titles live for a few members and doing some category research.
The focus for this Ask Us Anything session was certainly the importance of comparable titles in writing and how they can impact your book's success. We discuss how classic titles like Nancy Drew and Harry Potter compare to current children's literature and the evolving dynamics of social narratives in books. Learn tips on how to find and leverage at least 10 comparable titles in your genre, how to read and analyze them for story structure, cover design, and market trends.
We also briefly discussed some technical updates for the Apex membership and Push Button Publishing software.
