Training #309 – Book Covers That Sell with Dan Van Oss

If you are not spending the time to create an irresistible book cover for your Kindle or print book, then you're missing out on a lot of clicks and sales.

That's because your book cover is the very first thing that people see when they find you on the shelves of a big box store or in the virtual shelves of Amazon in a bestseller category or some sort of keyword search related to your book. And it's your first (and sometimes your only!) opportunity to make a great first impression with your book cover design and get folks actually clicking through and buying your book.

Dan Van Oss has been in personal and commercial digital design for over 20 years. He's the founder of CoverMint, which has designed over 1000 indie author covers to date. He's also the author of One-Click Cover: The Insider's Guide to Book Cover Design.

In this training, Dan talks about the importance of having a quality book cover and the differences between effective and ineffective covers, and how to tell the difference when you are communicating with your cover designer.
