From phishing scams that mimic publishing offers to sophisticated account hijacking attempts, the threats to your creative work, your financial security, and your online reputation are real and constantly evolving.

This week, we're going to pick up where we left off on our last Author Safety and Security training, and delve into how we can protect our reputation and spot scams from a mile away so we can avoid them.

Our focus is on the human aspect of staying safe. We cover how to keep yourself safe on social media, reputation management, account protection and recovery, and common scams targeting authors and how to spot and avoid them.

We also walk through what you should do if you suspect somebody is trying to scam you, including our actions from a real attempt to defraud us.
